"Give the gift of color and convenience this season with Tarte's limited-edition Gorgeous Getaways portable palettes & collector's compact set. Overflowing with 16 expertly-coordinated eye shadows, 4 brand new blushes and 3 maracuja lipglosses, this one-of-kind modular box set also includes a chic portable palette compact for endless looks on the go!

The limited-edition set features:

  • 16 full size Amazonian Clay Eye Shadows inspired by magical destinations around the world
  • 4 full size Amazonian 12-Hour Clay Blushes in new, limited-edition shades
  • 3 full size Maracuja Lipglosses in new, limited-edition shades
  • Portable collector's compact to take the interchangeable palettes on-the-go

To take your palettes with you in the collector's compact, simply lift the ribbon, remove the palette, and place it inside the compact."

This makeup holiday set collection comes in a jewelry box storage theme with 2 tiers.

The 1st layer holds 4 different sections; each rectangular section holds 4 full size Amazonian clay eyeshadows and a full size Amazonian clay 12-hour blush.

The 2nd layer includes a golden portable palette compact with 3 new full size maracuja lipglosses.

1. Lift the 'rectangular section' that you want to take with you on the go by using the purple string attached on the side.
2. Place the palette in the golden portable palette compact and you're all ready to go!

The lip gloss comes in a clear tube with a golden cap. The company's name "Tarte" on the body of the lip gloss tube is in gold while the names of the lip gloss on the bottom of the tube is in purple. The lip glosses also comes with a standard doe foot applicator for an easy application.

All of the eyeshadow and blushes names are on the back of the palette;
so you finally don't need to keep that clear plastic sheet anymore :]

The eyeshadows were very soft, buttery, and smooth with great pigmentation. I barely had any trouble with any of the eyeshadows. I'm really surprised since people said that Tarte's eyeshadows were poop! Some were a bit dry like Central Park and Midnight in Paris but they were not a pain to work with at all.

The blushes are heavenly. It only takes a little bit for amazing color pay off since the pigmentation is excellent. I can definitely say that Tarte has some of the best blushes around (...I do own 15+ of their other shades)

The lip glosses has a minty scent which tingles just slightly on the lips. The texture of them are just SLIGHTLY to barely there sticky but nothing that would bother me all that much when I'm wearing it on my lips.

Grand Canyon, Taj Mahal, Big Ben, Central Park and Savvy.

Santorini Bikini, Great Sphynx, Pacific Sunset, Belgian Chocolate, and Spontaneous.

Serengeti Sand, Buckingham Palace, Rocky Mountains, Bordeaux, and Ambitious.

Gold Coast, Eiffel Tower, Space Needle, Midnight in Paris, and Lighthearted.

Whew, that was one heck of a review for me. I truly apologize for not posting lately and I can never apologize enough. I've been so busy with school and other things in life that I need to push my blog off to the side. I also missed using my camera so it was fun using it again! My blog and camera definitely needs more love from me!

    1. No primer; swatches are 1x each - i use a finger run a circle on the shade and then swatch it on my arm over until it's in an even layer (i don't dip the pan again with my finger).. I hope that you love it like I do!

  7. Your review was very helpful, thank you for the swatches; I don't live nearby an Ulta, and was so curious about this.

I just might have to pick this up and I know this sounds crazy, but I wish there was one more gloss to match the number of palettes and also a space in the travel compact for gloss.

Love tarte for including some different shades. Thanks again for the all the pics/ swatches!

  10. I probably wouldn't use this myself as I don't really use eye make-up but it would make a fantastic gift for someone. The packaging looks amazing.
