Review and Swatch: Tarte LipSurgence Natural Lip Tint in Charmed

Tarte LipSurgence Natural Lip Tint in Charmed

My third review on Tarte’s Lipsurgence!
Check out my other reviews in Enchanted & Joy.

Tarte LipSurgence Natural Lip Tint in Charmed

"These anticipated natural gel lip tints are an extension to our best-selling and award-winning cheek stains and like our iconic stains each emotive, peppermint-infused shade glides on smooth for a natural flush that will stay all day.

Earth engineered from a proprietary blend of plant bio-nutrients, our LipSurgence™ technology quickly absorbs into the skin delivering a surge of moisture on a cellular level, effectively and naturally increasing skin's water content for a 'plumped up' appearance. The result is naturally fuller, healthier lips without any irritation or stinging."

Charmed.

It’s held in a plastic jumbo lip pencil with a twistable bottom base that can move the product up/down the tube. The cap can also be attached to the bottom base which is great considering that I tend to lose things!

Information.

It’s very easy to apply. I use the tip to line my lips and then I use the side of product to fill it in. I do this so the tip wouldn’t be gone quickly! The product is very moisturizing but it doesn’t last long on my lips. It lasted for about 2 hours and then I had to reapply to get the shade on my lips again.

Charmed – Soft Baby Doll Pink

On my lips.

Original Retail – $24
How Much I Paid – $11.71
Size – 3 g / 0.10 oz

I think that I stated this in my other reviews (in Enchanted & Joy) that it isn’t worth the price at all. I would totally pass this and pick up the Revlon’s Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain (here a couple that I reviewed in HoneyLovesickRomantic, and Smitten). To be honest, I would rather pick up the NYX JUMBO LIP PENCILS then Tarte’s Lipsurgence. But, I prefer Revlon the most since it’s packed with pigmentation, moisturizing, and it lasts for a really long time. To be honest, I don’t even think that I will pick any more of these up.

What are your favorite jumbo lip pencils?

I still have a couple more jumbo lip pencils to review from NYX, Revlon, and other brands!

Thanks for reading!

  3. it seems like all the brands are putting out some sort of lip stain nowadays. Revlon's balm stain is still my favourite. I actually almost bought these the other at sephora but wasn't sure if it would be drying for my lips. Guess i'll pass on these based on your review. But definitely getting more revlon balm stains~

  7. I like the formulation of these. I have one in an orange color not sure of the name of them. I perfer them to the Revlon Kissable Balm Stains since these don't dry out my lips nearly as bad as the Revlon ones do. By the way, great blog!
